The Animation and Visual Effects Association (AVA) participated in the 2026 Vision Get Wild Award (VGW) with an independent exhibition booth, promoting the creativity and diversity of Taiwan’s original animation industry to students, creators, and visitors from across the country.

This year’s event brought together 107 academic departments and 1,188 student works nationwide, with 52 awards presented through a professional judging process. As one of Taiwan’s most influential creative design and digital content exhibitions, the event provided an excellent platform for industry engagement and talent development.

Under the theme “Promoting Original Taiwanese Animation,” AVA’s exhibition featured screenings of 16 original Taiwanese animated works spanning a wide range of genres, artistic styles, and storytelling approaches. Through these screenings, visitors were introduced to the rich creative potential and diverse voices emerging from Taiwan’s animation sector.

In addition to the exhibition, AVA actively promoted the 4th Animation Talent Incubation Program, introducing participating students and young creators to the program’s objectives, application process, and industry support resources. The initiative aims to strengthen connections between emerging talents and the professional animation industry through mentorship, networking, and practical collaboration opportunities.

A special information session for the 4th Animation Talent Incubation Program was held on the event’s main stage in Kaohsiung, attracting a total of 91 student participants. Throughout the exhibition, many attendees actively engaged with association representatives, seeking insights into animation production workflows, industry development trends, and career opportunities within the creative content sector.

The exhibition booth also featured merchandise from several Taiwanese animation studios and original IP projects, including character accessories, art books, and apparel. These products not only enhanced audience engagement with the featured works but also demonstrated the growing commercial potential and brand value of Taiwan’s original animation properties.

Through animation screenings, industry outreach, and IP merchandise showcases, the association sought to provide younger generations with a closer look at Taiwan’s vibrant animation ecosystem and the opportunities it offers for future creators.

For AVA, participating in Vision Get Wild Award 2026 was not only an opportunity to promote Taiwanese original animation, but also an important step toward strengthening connections between the industry and the next generation of creators. The association remains committed to supporting emerging talent and helping outstanding creative works gain greater visibility both domestically and internationally.
