March 13, 2026 The Animation 10x10 Project – Proposal Review Session was successfully held on March 13 at the Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab. The program aims to increase the development volume of original Taiwanese animation projects, gradually enhance their market visibility, and ultimately achieve significant growth in overall pitching output, supporting Taiwan’s animation industry in advancing toward the international market.
Building on the outcomes of previous editions, the first edition of the program demonstrated strong results, with several selected short film proposals subsequently receiving funding support from the Ministry of Culture’s Animation Black Tide initiative and entering production. The second edition further advanced ten selected projects through script development stages, supported by professional mentors who assisted teams in refining story structure, pitch materials, and presentation skills. These works are expected to inject new creative energy into Taiwan’s animation industry, allowing audiences to experience the diversity of its creativity and technical strength.
Continuing this foundation, the third edition of the Animation 10x10 Proposal Mentorship Program focuses on two key objectives: strengthening script development and enhancing pitching capabilities. Through early-stage development funding and professional mentorship, the program seeks to improve both innovation and overall quality of animation proposals. It also aims to increase the likelihood of securing investment opportunities and project approvals, thereby strengthening the international competitiveness of Taiwan’s animation industry.
A total of 18 proposals were submitted for this edition, with 17 teams selected to participate in the proposal review session. The final review panel was composed of a five-member jury, including two representatives nominated by the Taiwan Animation and VFX Association and three external experts. The jury evaluated each proposal based on criteria including story originality, visual style, feasibility, and market potential, ultimately selecting up to 10 projects for inclusion in the program.
Through this review process, the program continues to serve as a key platform for identifying and nurturing promising animation projects, while fostering sustainable development within Taiwan’s original animation ecosystem.
